The development of home-grown talent has always been vital to Penkridge CC and it has been a key factor in the success of the club in the past. The development of young players is also key to the future. The club have put in place a structure to nurture this development and now have a number of ECB Level 2 coaches supported by Level 1 Coaches.
As part of the development of young players where they develop the skills and techniques to play the game, we also encourage them to play the game competitively but also to be fair, respecting the opponents, officials and traditions of the game.
A number of our junior players progress into representative cricket and also make the step up into the senior teams and we will be working hard to build on that progress.
Our Junior Programme starts for (U9s – 8 years old). Children between 5-8 years old can participate in our All Stars Cricket Programme starting Friday 12th May for 8 weeks. Click here for more details https://allstarscricket.co.uk/penkridge
