Leslie Jones Secretarial Trophy

Long serving member, Peter Parnaby, was a worthy recipient of the prestigious Leslie Jones Trophy at the recent Midlands Club Cricket Conference (MCCC) Annual Dinner. The award is presented to officers who have excelled in Secretarial roles at cricket clubs across the Midlands, and Peter was selected ahead of all other nominees for the award this year. Chairman, Jon Price, was delighted with the award - "When we heard the criteria for the nominations, Pete was an obvious and outstanding candidate in our eyes, and I am really pleased for Pete that the Conference Committee agreed with us. He has worked tirelessly arranging fixtures for the Club since 1975 and on top of this he runs the Weekly Tote which brings in over £1000 into the Club's funds annually, and is heavily involved with the upkeep of the ground. Stalwarts like Pete are the backbone of amateur sports clubs like ours and this recognition is richly deserved".

The trophy was presented by actor David Troughton, President of the MCCC and father of the current Warwickshire Bears captain Jim Troughton.
