Weekend highlights
Sat 18th
1st XI
The 1st XI got back to winning ways with a fine win over Hammerwich by 86 runs. Batting first, Penkridge were bowled out for 240 in the last over having been 19 for 3 at one stage. This was thanks to Mohammed Ishtiaq and Waseem Shah both scoring 63 supported by Laeq Chishti (28) and 36 extras. Mohammed Ishtiaq then turned to taking wickets with 5-55 as Hammerwich were bowled out for 154.
2nd XI
The 2nd XI beat Coseley 1st XI by 8 wickets. Batting first, Coseley were bowled out for 165 with Jon Price (4-15) the main wicket taker supported by Rich James (2-29) and Will Hinder (2-35). Penkridge made light work of the run chase scoring the winning run in the 31st over. Atta Chishti (80) top scored with Jack Pope 36 not out.
3rd XI
The 3rd XI beat Wolverhampton 4th XI by 6 wickets. Batting first, Wolverhampton made 228 for 8 from their 50 overs with Mo Hassan (5-56) the main wicket taker. Penkridge reached thier target in the 48th over thanks to a second wicket stand of 141 between Kev Baker (88) and Steve Jones (61). Mohammed Shafiq with 28 not out finished of the run chase.
4th XI
The 4th XI made it a Saturday clean sweep with a 108 run victory over Hammerwich 4th XI. Batting first, Penkridge were indebted to Jim Horobin, who scored a fine century (125 not out), for their total of 195 for 8. Jim then proceeded to take 4 for 8 as Hammerwich were bowled out for 87. He was supported by Rich Birch and George Price with 2 wickets each.
Sun 19th
1st XI 
The 1st XI beat Lichfield by 9 wickets. Batting first, Lichfield were bowled out for 170 with Sam Horobin (3-39) and Ben Marson (2-20) the main wicket takers. Penkridge made light work of the reply reaching their target in the 23rd over for the loss of one wicket thanks to Joe Marson (84 not out), Ross Parker (51) and jack Pope (31 not out). 
2nd XI 
The 2nd XI lost to a very strong Pelsall side by 188 runs. Batting first, Hammerwich reached 344 for 3 with centuries from two of their main Saturday 1st XI batsmen. All the bowlers tried their best with one wicket each for Matt Jenkinson, Libby Price and Will Birch. Penkridge were 156 for 8 at the close with Jacob Ratcliffe (51), Jon Price (33) and Matt Jenkinson (31 not out) the main run scorers.

Junior Training (outdoor) starts on Friday 26th April at Pillaton at 6:15pm.
